Small beaches and suggestive coves are what awaits you on Giglio Island. But they are not suitable for windsurfing. An so, should you leave your windsurf at home during this holiday on Giglio Island? Absolutely not. There is (at least) a place where you can practice your favorite water sport.
It is Campese bay, where there is one of the most beautiful beaches of Giglio Island. And it is the largest beach on the island. The winds, usually, are fairly constant. Just pay attention to choose when to go because, especially during the summer, Campese is very crowded.
If you’re not going to bring the windsurf with you, you can easily hire all the equipment on the beach of Campese. And if you’re a beginner who has decided to approach this exciting sport, always on this beach you can find courses and instructors who will show you how to begin.
In addition to Campese bay, other places good for windsurfing could be cala dell’Arenella, on Giglio Island northeastern coast, and spiaggia della Caldane, near Giglio Porto. Even in this case, it’s better to consider that they are very crowded beaches, especially during summer.
And between winds and waves? As already said, Campese is one of the most beautiful beaches of Giglio Island (such as Arenella and Caldane): after windsurfing, you can lay down on the beach and enjoy relaxation.
