Caldane beach, a place for diving and relaxation

A small cove, sheltered and never too crowded, with the color of the sea that varies from blue to turquoise, on the east coast, and all this just a short distance from Giglio Porto, one of the villages of the island: these are the reasons why Caldane beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Giglio Island.

The reasons for preferring this beach are essentially two: relaxation and diving. The beach as mentioned above is very sheltered and quiet, ideal for rest and lie down comfortably on its white sand. The seabed slopes gently toward the open sea and will delight all snorkeling fans, for diving though you have to go a little more off shore.

Not recommended during a holiday with the kids, Caldane beach can be reached on foot: from the nearby Cannelle beach starts a dirt path that crosses the Mediterranean scrub and offers views overlooking the sea. After about twenty minutes walk you get to Caldane beach.

For those who don’t enjoy walking, Caldane beach is also accessible by sea. In Giglio Porto there are several boatmen who will rent their boat to take you to discover this beautiful beach on Giglio Island.
